Dave and Jules Dornan ….New Diamonds!

We all know that when anyone in our Network 21 family becomes a Diamond, it is special. As the parents of New Diamonds we are so excited to celebrate and share the news of the Dave and Jules latest achievement with all of our friends and partners around the world. What a special moment this is!

After five years of focused effort, sacrifice, life (newly married, raising their first child and expecting baby #2, “driving the miles”) and under the lights of the Dornan name and visibility; this is a truly amazing accomplishment indeed.

Amway Global has officially confirmed Dave and Jules status as brand new Diamonds and we are so proud of all they have done and become… we are sure you are too.

With the unique “succession plan” aspect of this wonderful business, it must be very encouraging to all of our friends that Dave and Jules have not only chosen to build, but that they are so effective, committed and passionate. The future looks very bright and the team will be in great hands for many years.

Nancy and I look forward to having Dave and Jules begin to come along side of us as we grow our family Amway business to greater heights, and help more and more of you reach your next goals. We will be looking for ways to balance their desire to see more of you globally…with their need to enjoy this time with their young family, each other and to keep building their own business.

We pray that their example, in business and in life, will serve as a continuing model for what is possible, and how the fruits and rewards of our efforts are worth the struggle, fears and doubts that all leaders experience.

I tried to get the gig as Jim’s caddy for this trip but alas… no go! Regardless, I thought you would appreciate seeing what Network TwentyOne founders Jim & Nancy Dornan we up to earlier this week.

Jim, Nancy, Dave and Jules (plus Faith an Ella) were recently at Pebble Beach to support another worthy charitable organization, EQUIP, with John Maxwell. Jim is a founding board member of the organization that has now trained over 4 million leaders in 144 countries, and in more than 60 languages. “The golf is world class, but the opportunity to make a difference in the effectiveness and productivity of so many others is the real reward”, says Jim. Over $600,000 was raised over the few days and new plans were made for the future… Including next year’s event at Pebble. That will be the Dornans’ 10th year in attendance.

“Network TwentyOne Leaders were in great abundance at the North American Achiever’s Trip for Q-12 qualifiers, Sapphires, and higher awards. Jim and Nancy Dornan were announced as new 55 Founders Achievement Award point qualifiers, and Dave and Jules Dornan were honored as new Founders’ Diamonds. Cale and Aura Andrews marched in with the new Sapphires and new first-time attendees included Dr. Aaron and Karen Shores as Founders’ Platinums. See the attached photos”

Wow…Wish someone would say that I am “concordant and thoroughly composed” just once!!! I made it to this little shin-dig and it was in a high energy event to be sure. Amazing leadership sharing great experiences in building a fantastic business… what more could you want? Oh I almost forgot, delicious pizzas to boot!

“Two most awaited events of the year 2011 – Go Diamond (Ukraine) and European Emerald Forum recently been held in Kiev. Both events took place in Ukraine for the first time. The professionalism & level of speakers on stage was backed with the might of their impact and experience: Crown Igor & Valeria Kharatin, Crown Ambassadors Taras & Irina Demkura, Hans & Eva Nusshold, and Founder Crown Ambassadors Alexey Mautanov & Vera Archipova.

Everyone was charmed and excited by the energy and youth of the couple that has visited Ukraine for the first time – David & Jules Dornan. It was impossible to distract one’s attention from David’s speech as it was so concordant and thoroughly composed.

We were all so proud of the growth and potential here: New Silver and Gold ABOs recognition greatly impressed! Our sincere congratulations to all ABOs who have qualified to participate in “Go Diamond” for the first time! We were truly glad to spend 3 beautiful and eventful days together and to enrich our knowledge with new experience and great things to remember!

Being the kind of guy that gets the inside scoop on all things cool in Network TwentyOne, I was recently given the heads up about a very special meeting of the  global management team at Network TwentyOne’s global headquarters just outside of Atlanta, GA – USA. Managers from 25 countries representing 36 markets descended on Network TwentyOne’s headquarters for 5 days of updates, training, fellowship as well as the sharing of best practices from all over the world.

Saturday evening kicked things off with a causal reception where old friends reconnected. With the average employment term of over 12 years, most of the global management team has met many time before and for the new managers, new friendships were made.

Sunday was a day of relaxation and sport out on a popular lake north of Atlanta and then into meetings Monday through Wednesday. Topics covered included finance, marketing and promotion, global BSM development and compliance, events management best practices and new ideas, new technologies including digital CEP delivery and Channel-21, customer service, copyright rules and best practices, targeting ideas for Gen-Y and last but not least, social media practices (a personal fav. I got to sit in on).

In addition to the above, the global management team was treated to a great talk by David and Jules Dornan on Network TwentyOne from a Diamond’s perspective. But perhaps best of all was the special time shared with Jim Dornan as he gave updates on his health (which is great), discussed the history of Network TwentyOne and laid out an exciting vision for the future of Network TwentyOne as he an Nancy see it growing through current leadership, new leadership and as exciting, second generation leaders like David and Jules.

Needless to say a righteous time was had by all… the management team left with a greater sense of mission, purpose and a passion to support Network TwentyOne affiliated IBOs around the world. What else would you expect from a company dedicated to personal and professional development?

“We had a full and fun month of May! We began the month in Irvine, California with our West Coast Summer Conference during May 3-5. Crowns Skip and Susan Ross were our guest speakers and they helped us unpack our theme for the weekend, BELIEVE. Diamond Mike Wilson kicked off the conference with a message to get us thinking about the way we view our business. Network TwentyOne’s own R.D. Saunders took the stage next and offered great explanation on the personality types we often talk about. (Good thing, because if someone called me a Phleg melon one more time…). We had great teaching from Dave and Jules Dornan, wonderful recognition led by Diamonds Dane and Nancy Morton, and of course, much inspiring teaching from our Skip and Susan Ross. My favorite part of the weekend may just have been Skip Ross reading Dr. Seuss’ Oh, the Places You’ll Go! Best reading ever!

A few weeks later, we headed to the East Coast to Atlanta, Georgia for another amazing weekend. Our guest speaker was the energetic Diamond Mats Holmberg. If there was an award for the most animated, stage-jumping, fun-loving speaker, he would get it! Mats led our East Coast through the theme of Believe and brought great insight from his journey in the business. On recognition night we celebrated many new pin levels and heard an inspiring, practical message from Double Diamond János Demeter.

Whew, what a great round of Summer Conferences! Can’t wait for our North America Leadership Conference in September! Will you be there?!”

For those of you who may have been in a coma the last six months, 2 things…

2.) DRIVE2013 was Network TwentyOne’s Emerald and above leadership event held in Los Angeles, California where over 1,000 leaders from over 27 countries came together to learn from the best and most successful Amway business leaders in the history of the universe.

The event started with a memorial service for Network TwentyOne Founder and Chairman, Jim Dornan who passed away just days before the event. The service was broadcast live from the event and is still viewable here. Those that were there were so thankful to be a part of honoring Jim together as a global family and it was such a tribute to all that Jim worked for over these many years.

Moving into the event, leaders were fed a steady diet of humor, business insight and skills to balance their life by leaders such as Bob Andrews, David and Jules Dornan, Hans and Eva Nusshold and Mitch and Deidre Sala. Additionally, there were several panel style interview sessions ranging from some of Network TwentyOne’s pioneer leadership to second generation leaders sharing their unique perspective having grown up immersed in this business.

Special guests included Amway President Doug DeVos as well as Amway’s Executive Vice President Jim Payne and last but certainly not least, Dr John C Maxwell.

Needless to say, it was a righteous event and you should have been there. The good news is you have until August 2015 to qualify as an Emerald or above for Network TwentyOne’s next big event called …. you guessed it, DRIVE2015!

I love Scandinavia… heck I even drove a Volvo for a few years! What’s better than a big only Volvo that looks like a loaf of bread barreling down the road? A Network TwentyOne Scandinavian Regional Seminar! Check out this brief heads up from the field.

“Wow what an amazing weekend seminar we have had in Norrköping, Sweden 4-6 October.

The event kicked off on Friday afternoon when our fantastic guest speaker Tony Henderson welcomed our ABOs at the main entrance. After that he charmed, motivated, captivated, spellbound, and inspired our ABOs throughout the weekend and for that we are truly honored and thankful for.

For the first time in Scandinavia we had a speaker panel on stage. The panel consisted of both men and women representing all our Scandinavian countries with different backgrounds and pins. This mix together with Tony as moderator made it an instant success.

On Sunday afternoon for the last hour, we were sending a surprise live transmission from Debrecen, Hungary with David Dornan and I think that the roof almost lifted when we saw him on our big screens.

Our ABOs left on Sunday focused and motivated for the coming year with clear goals to go from WES to Go Diamond 2014 to Drive 2015.”

Ok, So it has been awhile sine we have heard from our friends down in Southern Africa. Of course they have been busy building amazing businesses… shocking huh? Certainly one of the most focused, motivated and professional group of Amway leaders anywhere in the world supported and inspired by upline leadership from Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

“The Network TwentyOne Southern Africa National WES is always a high point in the year on our Calendar, and the October 2013 event surpassed all expectations. With record attendance from all 12 regions, the WES was made even more memorable by the appearance of speakers Peter Cox, Founders Crown Ambassador from Australia, and David and Jules Dornan, Founders Diamonds from the USA. ABO’s anticipation of the event was not in vain – the invaluable teachings of the Dornans, and Peter Cox’s dynamic delivery of his “The Dream is Everything” ethos, inspired even the most flagging of spirits, and the energy was a tangible essence.The recognition of two new Emeralds was yet another highlight to the weekend.

An exciting addition to the Friday evening was the official launch of the Amway XS energy drink, with a launch party par excellence. With dancing to the sounds of the region’s best DJ’s, and of course boundless energy courtesy of XS, guests celebrated and danced the night away. By all indications, XS will prove to be a leader in the energy drink market in the Southern African region.

All too soon the three-day event was over, but was definitely a memorable and valuable experience, and one which we intend to repeat and build on in the time to come.”

OK, so what do you get when you bring together Hungarians, Romanians, Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenians and Croatians with a sprinkle of staging, a slice of audio/visual, a dab of international speakers and a whole lot of Network TwentyOne??? CERC of course!

“What an outstanding event we had in Debrecen, Hungary with thousands of attendees people from 6 countries of Europe! ABOS from Hungary, Romania, Czech, Slovak, Slovenia and Croatia waited with enthusiasm for the highlight of the business year – The Central European Regional Conference, and it didn’t disappoint them.

31 Diamonds, 13 Executive Diamonds and above, 67 Emeralds and 48 Founders Emeralds and over 600 Platinum+ in the front rows showed the power of Network TwentyOne leadership and support coupled with the world class business opportunity which is Amway.

One of the main highlights of this function was certainly the main guest speaker, representing not only the energy and knowledge he is having but also the second generation of Network 21 – Founder Diamond from the USA, David Dornan. His speeches gave such a momentum and spirit to the audience…… hard to describe in words.

On Saturday morning there was “Blue Jeans” meeting with over 500 young people under the age of 25 listening to David Dornan. What a powerful speaker on stage during just one event Crown Ambassador, Hans Nusshold. His speeches showed the balance of huge experience and an unbelievable vision.

Real Achievers, as our motto for the event was, came together not only to learn from the best but also to celebrate those who already “climbed the hills of challenges and hard work” celebrating new Emeralds and new Diamonds!

We had the first sparkling moment Saturday evening with the celebration of the first Founder Emerald from Slovakia; Andrea and Ivan Kartac. They have reached the Emerald and Founder Emerald level in the same business year. The highlight of the Saturday evening was the New Diamond recognition. Ibolya and Imre Leviczki came into the venue with a spectacular celebration. These were real memorable, actually unforgettable moments that showed to all what can be reached in the Amway business with the support of Network TwentyOne.”

Booking my ticket for their next WES. After reading this, I do not want to miss the next one!

“Getting ready for WES in Tallinn nobody could expect that it is going to go that way. IT WAS REAL BOOM OF EMOTIONS.
Friday was summarized by our Guest Speaker: Massimo Bini- Executive Diamond from Italy, who gave everyone just fantastic lesson of Amway Business Building and Management based on Network TwentyOne learning system. His three speeches at WES were just one great lesson for everyone starting from those who are 1st time at WES up to Diamonds and above.

Saturday end up with tears while listening to Olga Levashova- Diamond from Ukraine, who touched everyone’s hearts and ensured that to have bright future it is only your decision.

On Sunday, Mats Holmberg- Diamond from Finland, ended WES with great Kick of Motivation to really MOVE forward and achieve new levels at next WES. It could not be better speech for the end of Sunday session.

In addition to those three great speakers, we had speeches from local leaders, who assured that this market is in good hands and it is going to grow.

Event was unforgettable also thanks to extraordinary set up, that took the breath away of many leaders who had been at many WES’s before.

But now, we are looking forward to GO DIAMOND in Hungary and following it Free Enterprise in Finland, where all Scandinavia and Baltics leaders are coming together to celebrate FREEdom with Dave and Jules Dornan- Founder Diamonds from USA.”

“The East Coast of the US had an awesome WES in Atlanta, Georgia, May 16-18. The guest speaker was Diamond Staffan Ohlson. He is an excellent communicator and shared much wisdom and insight, in addition to his interesting story. We were lucky also to hear from David and Jules Dornan, Marg Hays, János Demeter, Andrew Mackay, Mike Wilson, Pete Matz, Jackie Lowe, Nancy Dornan, and a panel. Whew! Each leader teaches and inspires in unique ways, I know we gained considerable knowledge  from all of them and are very grateful for their willingness to share with us.

These are just two of the nuggets of wisdom shared that weekend!

On the West Coast, we had a conference in California May 30-June 1. Guest speaker Ali Ghannadan shared immeasurable vision, teaching, and experience. Mike Wilson kicked off the seminar Friday as only Mike can do! The weekend was full of inspiring, smart speakers who developed the theme for the weekend- MOVE. We thought about what moves us and where we need to move next in our business. A great motivation is what Jerry Webb said Friday night: ” We’re not saying it’s easy, we’re saying it’s worth it.”

In addition to our guest speaker Ali, we learned from Dave Dornan, Jerry and Sharyn Webb, Jim Elliott, and Jim Janz.  At both seminars we had the delight of celebrating new platinums! We had excellent Summer Conferences and are looking forward to our National Convention in September!”
